5 days cycling from Oudomxay to HuayXai via LuangNamtha-MuangSing-XiengKok or vice versa
This long trip will lead you to experience the life of Lao people in northern Laos, which is untouched by modern culture. In the course of the journey we will roam the golden triangle, which is the jewel of three nations, and get some impressions during the boat trip on the northern most section of the Mekong River in Laos.
Tour detail
Day 1: The tour starts at 8.30 am from Samlaan Cycling office heading on the road to LuangNamtha. The first 12 km we follow the undulated street before a short steep climb for one and a half kilometers. After rolling down the hill we have an unrelenting uphill starting at km 15. Along the road Khmu and Hmong people saying Sabaidee-Sabaidee will greet you.
We stop for lunch at km 30. A long descent to a very nice and winding road will bring us to Muang Namor where we will stay over night in a Guesthouse.

Day 2: Today we will continue on the rising and falling street with some short climbs. On the way we visit the villages of Lantan and Hmong. Then we enjoy lunch and continue to LuangNamtha on a dirt road. Arrival in LuangNamtha around 5.30 pm.

Day 3: After breakfast we will cycle further north passing through NamHa protected area, visiting some villages en route. Lunch will be served on the road after riding up and down with our bikes for a short distance. After lunch we will continue riding through fantastic scenery enjoying a long decent before we arrive at our hotel in MuangSing at 4.30 pm.

>Day 4: This day is our last day on the bike. We will cycle on a dirt road along very nice scenery and traditional minority villages. We need to pass some hilly sections in the mid day and at the end of the road. Arrival at the resort around 5.30 pm followed by relaxing and enjoying the sunset and nice scenery of the Mekong riverside.

Day 5: Today we will leave our bikes behind and get ready for an adventure trip on a speedboat down stream the Mekong River via the Golden Triangle where we will stop on the mighty island ”Done Xao”. There you will enjoy lunch, before continuing the boat trip to Huay Xai where we will arrive at about 4.30 pm.
